Our Experience

Our experience is designing, managing, and implementing designs ranging from residential landscapes to regional plans while meeting client needs, and respecting the natural environment. Pharis Design has a background in designing livable places of all types and sizes throughout Texas, the United States and abroad.

Our Services

MASTER PLANNING
Our master planning experience includes small scale in fill, large scale community plans, and regional scale corridor planning. We assist clients in due diligence and feasibility all the way through the implementation.

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
Our process translates the conceptual vision into an implementable plan. Our designs draw inspiration from the uniqueness of every region, site and setting.

ECOLOGICAL/ CONSERVATION/ RESTORATION
We conserve and protect unique habitats through thoughtful analysis, practical solutions to stormwater management, restoration of degraded soils, and conservation of critical resources.

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION
In order to ensure a vision on paper is realized in the field, we oversee the implementation and execution to make sure that a quality project is delivered.

ENTITLEMENTS
We work with clients to entitle property for development or conservation.

DESIGN GUIDELINES
We assist communities and developers in shaping complete design guidelines for streetscapes, residential development and large scale site plans to ensure aesthetic continuity across all phases of a project.

Meet the team

Moyara Pharis
Landscape Architect

Mo is a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil who has been working with plants since childhood. She has a BLA from LSU and enjoys the warm weather of Austin, but has been known to enjoy the cool mountains of Colorado from time to time. She can be found most days running on the hike and bike trail.

Stefan Pharis,
PLANNER/ Landscape ARchitect

Stefan is a native of Louisiana and a graduate of LSU whose talents and interests match perfectly with the music and flavors of Austin, Texas. He is an active board member of the The Trail Foundation and when he is not working, he can be found swimming at Barton Springs or Deep Eddy with his children.

Lake Hills Church

Civic and Parks

A ministry campus located in Bee Cave, Texas. Pharis Design collaborated with Overland Partners to design the new Children's Ministry building, as well as improvements to the overall campus master plan.
Arrowhead Ranch

Planning

Arrowhead is a 360 acres master planned community located in Dripping Springs, Texas on the banks of Onion Creek. Services included Entitlements, Planning, Design Guidelines, and Landscape Architecture.
Southern Living Idea House

Residential

Located in Spanish Oaks, the idea house was featured in the 2003 edition of Southern Living.

A collection of 28 uniquely designed homes and landscapes.
Eastside Mixed Use Development

Urban Design

A 14 acres urban infill/ adaptive re-use plan of a former office complex in Richardson, Texas. Services included Entitlements, Planning, Urban Design, and Landscape Architecture.
Frisco Bridges

An urban infill mixed use project. The landscape architecture includes a rooftop courtyard, pedestrian mall and other amenities. Designed in collaboration with LRK Architects
Georgetown Village

Georgetown Village is a master planned community located in Georgetown, Texas. Services included Planning, Design Guidelines, and Landscape Architecture.
Trails at 620

urban design

The Trails at 620 is a 250,000 SF commercial center with office and retail components. It is a model for how large projects can utilize low water, native landscapes. Pharis Design's duties include Planning,Entitlements/Permitting and Landscape Architecture.
Hilltop Residence

REsidential

An exclusive hilltop estate located in southwest Austin. Designed in collaboration with Architect, David Heymann.
Ella Wooten Park

The first neighborhood park located in the Mueller development. It has achieved a 4 star Austin Energy Green rating. Designed in collaboration with Studio 8 and Modern Pools.
Lone Willow

Lone Willow is a 205 acre walkablke master planned community located in Elgin, Texas. Services include Entitlements, Planning, Design Guidelines, and Urban Design.
Mueller SE Swim Center

Civic and Parks

The largest neighborhood park located in the Mueller development. The design includes a community garden, pool, tennis, playground and open lawn. Designed in collaboration with Architect Lars Stanley and Modern Pools
Tortuga Dunes

Located on Mustang Island, the development features paseos and an integrated stormwater system. It also features a 150 acres nature conservation area while clustering the developed area away from senstiive environmental features.
Barton Creek Estate

Residential

A 5 acre estate on a bluff overlooking Barton Creek. It is a National Wildlife Federation certified wildlife habitat.
Spanish Oaks

Spanish Oaks is a master planned community located in Bee Cave, Texas.
Mueller Homes

Urban Design

The 12 Mueller Houses combine single-family condominium homes in a building designed to appear as one large “custom” home. Each Mueller House has four or six condominium units. Designed in collaboration with Block 16 Architects.
